One of the classic Rick Ratchford posts continued...
When we last left our story, Phony Commodity Analyst Rick Ratcford, had jusst compare "this CRaig person" to a leaf in the wind...Let's watch!
"While some battled here on the newsgroup as to how ridiculous Rick is for
moving his stop this way or that, I was trading in real-time before all my
clients on our trading forum in the Live Cattle market. They watched as my
foolish entry and exit techniques extracted excellent profits in a few days.
The reason for my stops are based on methods that have been backtested
effective. But because the approach is considered a no-no in the Book of the
Commons (your basic everyday Technical Analysis books that EVERYONE owns,
reads, and still loses money with), the 'intellectuals' like Jack had to
dance on it instead of trying to see another viewpoint or aspect."
Ohh, so Ricky does backtest. Hmmmmm. Funny all the times I asked him about backtest results, he feigned ignorance.
So, Rick, about your backtested results, what are they? What stop, as you just brought up, is most effective for your cycles turns to have a positive expectancy? What is that number-the expectancy number-for your trades? You must know. Who doesn't know the results, even hypothetically, of their trading method?
So, even hypothetically, your a net losing commodity trader using your own cycle turns.
"No, Jack made up his mind long ago that the Road of the Commons is the
easier road to take. So do the majority of traders, and that is why 90%
fail. They say usually within a year, maybe two. So while I'm in my 13th
year as a trader, Jack does not seem to use that 'intellectual' mind of his
to discern that just maybe, maybe, Rick is not as dumb or ignorant as he had
thought, and that it may be a good idea to leave open the possibility that
Rick may know what he is talking about."
No, Jack uses his critical mind to realize you never say exactly what you've been successful at for 13 years, namely, selling commodity related materials, not actually trading. Ricky, if we wish to learn to sell crap to people, we'll look ya' up, OK?
Last paragraph, thank you merciful God...
"Because of my experiences, I've written hundreds of articles on the subject
covering several years. 80+ of these are found at various trading websites
around the net. There is no question that Jack likes to analyse the markets.
There should be no question that I do as well. But Jack decided to post over
my work, when I had completely left his alone without question because it
was his viewpoint and I respect that. But Jack failed to show the same
respect towards my work, and thus this whole thing came about. So when Jack
wishes to discuss being 'flagrant', he should look inward first. And he
should also open his eyes to all those posts from his friends that dump on
mine, as has always been the case here, the stones are thrown first in my
direction and at times one must put up a hand to defend from them.
Those are the facts as I know them.
Peace.
Rick"
Sorry, Richard, respect for a double talking salesman selling a misleading turn date indicator just ain't bloody likely.
Ya' believe he has the cajones to print "Peace"?
Coming up next...The rebuttals...stay tuned.
